the watch was a gift from her mother-in-law, and yes she loves her, but simply not her style. soooo, using an antique ring from her British grandmother we clustered and pave-set the diamonds in a domed plate and set the plate as if it was a stone into a new European style crown that was part of the ring! we then matched the style of the crown and the way the remaining stones were set to create a pair of earrings.
“above and beyond my expectations” to quote directly… to which her husband replied “i have gotten above and i have gotten beyond, but never above and beyond in the same statement!”
