he had always wanted a ring with a Celtic pattern. his first thought was to have me make a claddagh band but without the crown, just the hands around the heart and the diamond set into the heart which has its own tradition.
my research on their last name brought to light an available ring with a pattern associated with his Irish clan – a classic knot with the trinity. i knew that the patterned band would work perfectly with a bezel setting to hold the diamond from dad’s ring.
