he came in prepared with her Pinterest boards for me to see. she is an autumn baby but did not want the traditional dark blue September birthstone – apparently, she has enough jewelry with that color blue. she has many vintage-style rings on her boards and, interestingly enough, loads of sapphire!
i reviewed the images on Pinterest with the prospective groom and observed what she posted including stone shapes, colors, the way gems were set, and the overall style design of rings. the review sparked a light-bulb moment to suggest this antique ring which was part of an estate i was in process of brokering. a very gently-worn 18k white gold Jabel engagement ring i just happened to have in stock seemed just her style.
the primary design change i made was to replace some of the diamonds with light-blue sapphires in the channel shoulders. that made the engagement ring check all the boxes.
referral dominoes
i always feel such a thrill when i get referrals! these three young men are coworkers. i made the engagement ring and wedding bands for the first gentleman. he referred me to the second for his engagement ring and then they BOTH referred this new client for the engagement ring.
18k white gold with genuine sapphires, small full-cut diamonds and one brilliant-cut diamond in the center.
