engagement ring diamond replacement

i believe in supporting the passions of those who support me, and i often donate my products and services to local charities. i had been asked to do a “cash for gold” fundraiser for a local real estate office on behalf of a children’s cancer organization. they raised a boatload of cash; and i met some wonderful folks, including a real estate agent who needed some small jewelry repairs.

some time later, she decided to proceed with a project involving her engagement ring, and she believed she could trust me with the task. her original small engagement diamond was long gone, and she had always wanted a large diamond – it was time to make this happen.

replacement diamond – which one is best?

i had the pleasure to bring in several diamonds for her to choose from, all of which were certified diamonds from independent laboratories. i always show the stones without the certificates visible, as i believe one chooses the stone that “talks” to you. she chose wisely, even sending a photo to her husband. they concurred on the choice.

we were able to set this beautiful large diamond into her original tri-colored engagement ring. we replacing the setting that held her original stone with a six prong crown.
