she was not wearing her original engagement ring because she had replaced it (prior to knowing me). she wanted to “wear” the stone but did not want yet another pendant in her jewelry box.
an eternity pendant, gift from her hubby, was already a favorite. our solution was to combine the beautiful diamond from the engagement ring with the diamond circle pendant. engagement + eternity – so much emotional meaning into one piece to be worn with great frequency!
she is an agent with a local real estate office whom i met via a cancer fundraiser in which i participated. i also did a jewelry repair involving diamonds for her co-worker.
after she had me unseat the pear-shaped diamond, we scrapped the remains of her original ring and applied a materials credit towards the cost of this project.
i selected and supplied a white gold pear-shaped setting to hold the diamond which is now suspended from the eternity pendant. the pear shaped diamond hangs by two suspension links so it moves and brings additional sparkle and interest to the pendant.
- 14k white gold eternity pendant with a combination of round diamonds now has a solitary free-moving pear-shaped diamond on a 14k white gold cable link chain.
