repeat customer but now she is his wife and as a merchant marine, travels the world. so while in the south seas, he purchased a beautiful pair of black Tahitian pearls. just look at that glow! she is tall and lithe in stature with small ear lobes, wanted something to wear with jeans and the little black dress, loves ginkgo leaves and wanted something that hangs from her ear.
we half-drilled the pearls, attached a tiny link, set a glimmer of a diamond in the circle on the leaf, added pierced posts with friction nuts all done in 14k white gold. the leaf sits on her lobe, the pearl dangles from the base of the leaf.
i was thrilled as was she.
every once in a while, actually all the time, i get excited by a design and have such a strong image in my brain that i forget to photograph the completed pieces. such is the case with these earrings.
