This client is an amazing baker and owns a local, well-known patisserie shop. She came to me with a collection from her corporate days – a big pile of pearls of all shapes, colors and sizes. She wanted something easy to put on and easy to wear, although not necessarily in the bakery. I used the round pearls with the white oblong ones and a magnetic clasp for seamless wear, while being secure on the wrist. With the “corn” pearls and the gorgeous metallic colored pearls I put together a necklace that looks like it is two separate ones with multiple strands. I used a 14k vermeil bayonet style clasp although the strands are long enough to fit over head. But now she can also wear this as a double messy choker style necklace. This client has a wonderful eye, with a great sense of style and yet allowed me free rein to create. Truly the best of both worlds. What an enjoyable project this was!
