This customer, an older woman whose tastes and lifestyle has changed quite a bit since her last visit, returned many years. This time she wanted to repurpose several items from her jewelry box. Some pieces were meant to be immediately gifted to her daughters, others were intended for her to continue wearing Our project began with a beautiful diamond solitaire necklace which she’d rarely worn as well as a diamond wrap-style wedding band that was never one of her favorites. She wanted to leave the diamond in the bezel, but restyle it as a pendant. We began by removing the diamond from the woven link necklace. In doing so, we created two bracelets – one for each daughter. We used the original box clasp for one and supplied another box clasp for the other. We cleaned up the remnants of the necklace from the bezel. Then, by removing one side from the diamond wrap wedding ring, we were able to create a diamond bail to complete the pendant. Her daughters love the bracelets. And she loved gifting them! But she’s thrilled to have a beautiful pendant that she gets to keep for herself.
