This client reached out to me all the way from California. She has a thin wedding band, eternity in style, where the stones (diamonds) go all around the finger. As is sometimes known to happen, a stone was lost and the ring was just a bit too snug. Replacing the missing diamond would be a breeze. Sizing the ring to fit, not so much, because the diamonds wrap around the entire finger. But there were a few possible solutions. If the mounting is heavy enough one can file out and size from the inside. One can reset all the stones – which is usually expensive. Or one can size from the area of the missing diamond not replacing the stone but creating a sizing blank. The latter was the suggested solution for this particular ring especially since the sizing difference needed was only one half of a size. Now, sized just right, this updated band maintains that full band of sparkle around her finger, glimmering like that California sunshine. I was thrilled to provide this lovely client an affordable solution and she had nothing but kind things to say from her experience: “Thank you so so much!! You’ve been amazing to work with!”
