She was referred to us with two meaningful heirloom rings and a vision for something new. One was a stunning vintage Art Deco shield-shaped dinner ring. The other was her cherished three-stone engagement ring. Both pieces held deep family significance, and she was drawn to the craftsmanship and character of eras past. Our initial concept was to restore the antique dinner ring and recreate a spoke-style setting to showcase the largest diamond from her engagement ring. However, given the cost and the desire for a design more suitable for everyday wear, we explored other options. Drawing inspiration from a curated Pinterest board, we landed on a vintage-inspired dome silhouette for the new mounting. In collaboration with one of my trusted ring houses, we developed a custom CAD design that incorporated all three stones into a filigree dome-style setting. After a series of thoughtful refinements, the final piece beautifully honored the original rings while becoming a new favorite. One that’s just as meaningful and designed to be worn and loved every day.
